In Activity no. 4, individual prototypes will be finalized in terms of material, robotics, hardware, and software. The first output will be complex prototypes of intelligent furniture designed for the final testing of functionality. Initial testing and stress tests will be performed under laboratory conditions and program simulations will be performed.
The prototypes will then be modified according to the test results into fully functional units working in the interior environment. Testing in laboratory conditions will be followed by testing of prototypes directly in the community of self-employed seniors and immobile persons. This testing will take place at a Norwegian partner, who will build exemplary housing units for this purpose. Not only the functionality of all prototypes will be tested, but also their safety, interior mobility, and reliability. Based on the test results, furniture pieces may still be modified.
